Getting into a good TA guild
I know most of the good TA guilds, as most of you have a few members that post on this board. And I even see some of you ingame, like DELETED, seen him on numerous occasions.
I'm just curious how one would go after getting into a TA guild. There's no observer mode, and whenever a top guild goes into TA all 4 of the members are from the guild. It's not like HA where occasionally a guild group has to bring along a guest, or even a GvG. So I there's no real way for you to see other people play (unless of course your playing against them).
Do you guys base it soley on glad rank? How do you find new members?

Basing anything at all on glad rank is absolutely ludacris. We know how the ranks can be farmed, and that rank in no way means skill. We're not TA machines either. Personality is a lot more high on our list than actual skill, as skill can be improved. If you're looking for a TA guild, your best bet is to TA... You'll see the good guilds over and over, talk to them, ask questions, make friends. If you ask a guild group what you could have done better to beat them, chances are they'll be nice (except KGYU.) If you aren't too prying and annoying, you'll be able to make friends with people in guilds you want to be in. It's all about networking
We do pug sometimes (albeit rarely) if you can get on our friends list for being decent, we might call you up.
[Eat] isn't a TA only guild, and we don't recruit for TA, nor are we openly recruiting now. This tactic should work for other guilds though

Get to know us, if you TA a lot with us then you can just ask to get in and you'll get in most of the time.
Glad rank gives you better chances, but isn't a guarentee.

best chance is probably to try and get to know/play with people from good TA guilds. No matter how good the guild, there will always be a time when they need a pug (I once got into a Te guild team :P tbh theyre not ta material but we did get quite a long run... and my friend darth was with the EaT mob yesterday which goes to show that groups to get pugs) However your glad rank (well essentially glad rank) tends to be how they pick you, although you'll probably get kicked if you play bad >__<. Another way is to make your own group, and try to get people from the guilds that TA the most (ROFL, Eat, TA are the ones i see about most XoO too but its not that they TA alot, its just they are a HUGE guild), [yet again though this helps if you've got a good glad rank >__>] and try to prove yourself worthy enough to get into them...:S

simple problem here, most 'good' guilds aren't 'ta' guilds. They're GVG/HA/TA guilds who happen to be in TA fairly often for whatever reason. They aren't exclusively TA players. These players often have a higher overall understanding of PvP in general which allows them to do very well in TA. fish, vis, qq, igi (prior to split), all come to mind as some high end TA'ers that are by no means TA exclusive, but have done large TA bouts. In fact I think the only 'TA' only guild is....TA. And if they aren't recruiting, well it looks like you're out of luck. No biggy though, try getting into a guild that does gvg and ta...gvg is WAY more fun than ta and WAY WAY >>>>>> than HA.

Yeah, when I meant TA guild I just meant a guild that's known for doing some TA. But not exactly TA exclusive. I do enjoy all aspects of PvP, so I guess that came out wrong when I said TA guild.

in that case I recommend looking into posting your 'resume' in the guild section here at guru and possibly looking at the gvg section over at team IQ forums.
